Oven-roasted asparagus with toasted nuts

Fresh, aromatic, and quick to prepare. This oven-baked asparagus delights with a fruity cream and crispy nut topping. Perfect for a light, seasonal meal with a special flavor.

Preparation time

10 minutes + 20 minutes baking time

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 30 g macadamia nuts 

  • 250 g white asparagus 

  • 250 g green asparagus 

  • 1 clove garlic (1) 

  • 1 tbsp agave syrup 

  • Frying olive oil

 Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 220 ° C top/bottom heat 

  • Wash green asparagus and cut off the ends 

  • Wash white asparagus, peel and cut off the ends 

  • Mix the organic vegetable spread with 1 tbsp agave syrup and 1 chopped clove of garlic, then spread in a baking dish 

  • Arrange asparagus side-by-side on top and drizzle with a little frying olive oil 

  • Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven 

  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the macadamia nuts over it 

  • Bake again for approx. 5-10 minutes, until the nuts are toasted 

Our HistaFood Tip

For a low-fructose version, instead of our HistaFood vegetable spread, you can prepare a different cream. For this you need: a little frying olive oil, 100 g feta cheese (1), 200 g yogurt, some fresh mint and 50 g grated mozzarella. Mix all ingredients in a blender and spread them in the baking dish.
