potato pancakes

Golden brown, crispy, and deliciously cheesy! These potato pancakes are low in histamine and fructose, vegetarian, and ready in just 40 minutes. Try them now and enjoy!

This recipe is

Preparation time  

40 minutes  

Ingredients  

  • 500 g potatoes  

  • 100 g spelt flour  

  • ½ tsp salt  

  • 2 tsp cream of tartar baking powder (1)

  • 100g grated cheese (Gouda or Mozzarella)  

  • A little olive oil for frying  

potato pancakes preparation  

  • Boil potatoes in salted water until cooked through.  

  • Let cool, peel and pound  

  • Knead together spelt flour, salt and cream of tartar baking powder to form a dough.  

  • Roll out half of the dough to about 1 cm thick.  

  • Spread the cheese on top and cover with the remaining dough.  

  • Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the flatbread until golden brown on both sides.  

  • Remove from the pan and serve
