Oatmeal schnitzel
These low-histamine oat schnitzels will surprise you! They are crispy, flavorful, quick to prepare, and a delicious vegan alternative.

Ingredients for 2 servings
- 50g gluten-free rolled oats
- 80 ml hot water
- Salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder (1)
- Breadcrumbs, gluten-free (alternatively, cornmeal)
- Sesame (1)
- Olive oil for frying
- A low-histamine dip of your choice (e.g., organic vegetable spread carrot & beetroot or organic vegetable spread zucchini & basil )
- Optional: Low-histamine vegetables of your choice (e.g., carrots and broccoli)

preparation
- Mix the gluten-free rolled oats with the spices.
- Pour the hot water over the oats, stir well and cover for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, stir the mixture again and shape the mixture into schnitzels - make sure they are not too thick.
- Coat the schnitzels in gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzels until browned.
- Meanwhile, steam the vegetables in water.
- Arrange everything on a plate and enjoy.
