Fruit bread

This freshly baked, low-histamine fruit bread is crispy on the outside and fruity, spicy, and soft on the inside.

Ingredients for a fruit bread

  • 200g gluten-free rolled oats
  • 50 g ground flaxseed
  • 3 tablespoons psyllium husks
  • 5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 10 dates
  • 100 g blanched almonds (1)
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • 1 star anise (1) (crushed)
  • 250 ml water
Recipe

preparation

  • Cut the apple into small pieces and mix it with the remaining ingredients in a bowl with a little water.
  • Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then transfer the solidified mixture into a bread tin lined with baking paper.
  • Place in the oven at 180 degrees for about 80 minutes, let it cool down a bit and enjoy.
