Fennel toast with mozzarella

A dream for every palate: Roasted fennel with mozzarella on delicious, freshly baked bread. This gluten-free and low-histamine fennel toast is perfect as a snack or for dinner. Sooo delicious! Who says low-histamine cuisine is boring?

This recipe is

Preparation time 

30 minutes + 70 minutes baking time

Ingredients for 2-3 people 

Fennel toast histamine preparation 

  • Bake HistaFood organic grain bread according to the package instructions. 
  • Wash, trim, halve, and finely slice the fennel. 
  • In a pan, sear the fennel with a little olive oil. 
  • Wash and finely chop the parsley. 
  • Add parsley to the pan and season with salt. 
  • Spread fennel on slices of HistaFood organic seeded bread . 
  • Top the bread slices with pine nuts and mozzarella and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes until crispy. 
  • Season with organic herb salt to taste.

Our HistaFood tip 

For a vegan alternative, you can also top the bread slices with vegan feta cheese (1) or vegan mozzarella (1).
