Salted Caramel Popcorn

This low-histamine salted caramel popcorn is not only the perfect snack for a cozy movie night, but can also be enjoyed on any other occasion!

Ingredients for one serving

  • 50g popcorn kernels
  • 50g salted butter (or regular butter and 1/2 tsp salt)
  • 4 tablespoons raw cane sugar
  • Olive oil
Recipe

preparation

  • Add a splash of oil to a pot, heat it up, and then add the corn.
  • Close the lid and shake the pot occasionally (with a potholder) so that the corn is heated from all sides.
  • When the corn starts to "pop", reduce the heat slightly.
  • Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan, add the sugar and let it caramelize.
  • Place the popcorn in a bowl and pour the hot caramel over it.
  • Mix everything together with a spoon and let it cool briefly.
