Rhubarb and passion fruit porridge

Sour makes you happy! This low-histamine and super fruity combination of rhubarb, passion fruit, and porridge is a bit tart, but as we all know, that's what makes you happy. Perfect for a vitamin-packed start to the day!

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 100g gluten-free rolled oats
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 stalks of rhubarb (1)
  • 1 passion fruit
  • 1/2 liter passion fruit juice
  • 1 pinch of salt

preparation

  • Peel and chop the rhubarb (1) and simmer in a pot with the passion fruit juice for 5-10 minutes.
  • Then add the gluten-free rolled oats and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and maple syrup, then stir. Arrange on a plate and add some fresh passion fruit.

Our HistaFood tip

For those who don't like rhubarb or don't tolerate it well, other low-histamine fruits such as apricots can be used instead. Our organic apricot fruit spread also makes an excellent topping.
