Gnocchi with vegetable sauce

These gnocchi are quicker to prepare than you think. They're on your plate in just 30 minutes – and perfectly suitable for a low-histamine diet!

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 500g potatoes
  • 175g spelt flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50g butter
  • 2-3 sprigs of basil
  • 1 jar of HistaFood organic vegetable sauce
  • Optional: Vegan grated cheese made from coconut

Gnocchi with vegetable sauce

preparation

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Cover them with water in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer until the potatoes are very soft.

2. Mash with a fork or potato masher and let cool. Add flour and salt and knead to form a dough. Divide the dough into 4 parts, roll each out into an oblong shape, and cut into slices about 1 cm thick. Press each slice over the back of a fork to create the typical gnocchi shape.

3. Heat the HistaFood organic vegetable sauce in a pot.

4. Fry the gnocchi in a pan with a little butter until golden brown.

5. Serve with HistaFood organic vegetable sauce and fresh basil. Optional: Sprinkle with vegan grated cheese.
