Baked apple rings
These low-histamine baked apple rings bring true autumn flavor to your plate. With a little cinnamon and sugar, they even offer a wonderful preview of the upcoming Christmas season. Heavenly delicious!

Preparation time
15 minutes + 20 minutes baking time
Ingredients for approximately 10 apple rings
- 1-2 apples
For the dough
- 250 g spelt flour
- ½ pack of cream of tartar baking powder (1)
- 50 ml coconut oil
- 150 ml water
- 3 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
Topping
- 3 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg yolk
preparation
- Wash the apples, remove the cores and cut them into slices about 1 cm thick.
- Enlarge the hole in the middle using a round cookie cutter.
- Preheat oven to 200 °C (top/bottom heat).
- Knead together spelt flour, cream of tartar baking powder, coconut oil, water and coconut blossom sugar to form a dough.
- Roll out thinly and cut into long strips approximately 1 cm wide.
- Wrap the dough around the apple rings.
- Brush the apple rings with egg yolk
- Mix coconut blossom sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the apple rings.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
