Asparagus parcels

You absolutely must try these savory asparagus parcels in a crispy pastry shell, filled with fresh green asparagus and our fruity organic vegetable spread Carrot & Beetroot !

This recipe is   

  • vegan
  • suitable for a low-histamine diet  
  • lactose-free  

Preparation time   

25 minutes  

Ingredients for 4 people  

  • A little thyme  

 For the dough  

  • 250 g spelt flour  
  • ½ pack of cream of tartar baking powder (1)
  • 50 ml olive oil for frying  
  • 150 ml mineral water (1)  
  • A little salt  

 For coating  

  • 2 tbsp oat cream (1)  
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking  

preparation  

  • Mix spelt flour, cream of tartar baking powder, olive oil for cooking, mineral water and a little salt to form a dough.  
  • Roll out into a rectangle and cut into approximately 6 rectangles.  
  • Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat).  
  • Wash the asparagus and cut off the stem ends.  
  • Spread the dough with some HistaFood Organic Vegetable Spread Carrot & Beetroot.  
  • Season with HistaFood organic herb salt and a little thyme.  
  • Place the asparagus crosswise and fold the two tips over.  
  • Mix together oat cream and olive oil for cooking and brush the dough with it.  
  • Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes until golden brown.  
  • Serve warm or cold  

Our HistaFood tip 

For a gluten-free version, you can replace the spelt flour with gluten-free flour, such as rice flour. You can also replace the oat cream (1) with gluten-free oat cream (1).
