Macadamia Florentine

If you like nutty and crunchy textures, you'll love these low-histamine macadamia Florentines!

Ingredients for 45 Florentines

  • 125 g macadamia nuts 
  • 100 g chopped pistachio kernels 
  • 40 g spelt flour 
  • 80 g coconut blossom sugar 
  • 70 ml oat cream (1)
  • 20 g maple syrup 
  • 20 g coconut oil 
  • 200g white chocolate (vegan)

' Macadamia Florentine histamine

preparation

  • If the macadamia nuts are salted, place them in a sieve and shake vigorously to remove the salt. 
  • Finely chop half of the macadamia nuts. 
  • You can also put the nuts in a plastic bag and hit them with a rolling pin. 
  • Roughly chop the other half of the macadamia nuts. 
  • Peel and roughly chop the pistachios. 
  • In a saucepan, bring oat cream (1), coconut blossom sugar, maple syrup and coconut oil to a boil and simmer for about 2 minutes. 
  • Add coarsely chopped nuts and stir well. 
  • Mix flour and finely chopped nuts and add 
  • Stir everything well 
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread 1 teaspoon of Florentine mixture on the sheet, leaving 4-5cm gaps between each. 
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 7 minutes and then let cool. 
  • Melt white chocolate in a water bath and spread it on the underside of the Florentines. 
  • Let dry and serve
