Potato cakes with applesauce

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – these low-histamine potato pancakes with applesauce are a simple and comforting treat. Quick to prepare and pleasantly mild in taste, they are perfect as a sweet main dish or snack.

Ingredients for 6-8 servings

  • 6 potatoes
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp potato flour
  • Applesauce (jar)
  • Cinnamon

Preparation

  • Peel and chop the potatoes and boil for 10 minutes.
  • Then mix with salt, egg yolk, turmeric and potato flour.
  • Press the dough flat on a baking paper and cut out discs with a glass.
  • Then bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve with applesauce and cinnamon
