Potato cakes with applesauce
Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – these low-histamine potato pancakes with applesauce are a simple and comforting treat. Quick to prepare and pleasantly mild in taste, they are perfect as a sweet main dish or snack.

Ingredients for 6-8 servings
- 6 potatoes
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp potato flour
- Applesauce (jar)
- Cinnamon
Preparation
- Peel and chop the potatoes and boil for 10 minutes.
- Then mix with salt, egg yolk, turmeric and potato flour.
- Press the dough flat on a baking paper and cut out discs with a glass.
- Then bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with applesauce and cinnamon
