Kaiserschmarrn with hot cherries

This low-histamine Kaiserschmarrn with hot cherries offers a delicious alternative to the classic pancake. Perfect for breakfast, a snack – or even as a dessert.

Ingredients for 2 servings

For the Kaiserschmarrn

  • 200 g spelt flour
  • 375 ml oat milk (1)
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed flour
  • 3 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 pinch of vanilla (1)
  • 1/2 pack of cream of tartar baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 apple
  • 50 g blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil for frying

As a side dish

  • 100 g sour cherries (frozen)
  • 50 ml water
  • 2 tbsp coconut blossom sugar
Kaiserschmarrn with hot cherries

preparation

  • Mix the ingredients and let them sit for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cut the apple into small pieces and briefly fry them in a pan with coconut oil.
  • Then add the batter and blueberries and cook over low to medium heat on both sides until it has a nice golden brown color.
  • Use a spatula to cut the dough into small pieces and fry briefly.
  • Heat the cherries in a pot with a little water. Arrange everything and enjoy.

Applesauce goes very well with this, for example.
For a low-fructose version, please omit the apple and cherries and use rice syrup and/or dextrose instead of coconut blossom sugar.
