Kaiserschmarrn with hot cherries
This low-histamine Kaiserschmarrn with hot cherries offers a delicious alternative to the classic pancake. Perfect for breakfast, a snack – or even as a dessert.

Ingredients for 2 servings
For the Kaiserschmarrn
- 200 g spelt flour
- 375 ml oat milk (1)
- 2 tbsp flaxseed flour
- 3 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar
- 1 pinch of vanilla (1)
- 1/2 pack of cream of tartar baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 apple
- 50 g blueberries
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil for frying
As a side dish
- 100 g sour cherries (frozen)
- 50 ml water
- 2 tbsp coconut blossom sugar

preparation
- Mix the ingredients and let them sit for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut the apple into small pieces and briefly fry them in a pan with coconut oil.
- Then add the batter and blueberries and cook over low to medium heat on both sides until it has a nice golden brown color.
- Use a spatula to cut the dough into small pieces and fry briefly.
- Heat the cherries in a pot with a little water. Arrange everything and enjoy.

For a low-fructose version, please omit the apple and cherries and use rice syrup and/or dextrose instead of coconut blossom sugar.
