Baked chicory

This recipe is super easy, healthy, and quick to prepare! Perfect for a low-histamine diet and simply delicious. Try it for yourself!

Preparation time    

10 minutes + 25 minutes baking time 

Ingredients  

  • 2 fresh chicory salads 
  • 1 jar of HistaFood organic vegetable sauce 
  • 1 clove of garlic (1) 
  • 1 onion (1) 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking 
  • 1 tbsp acerola juice 
  • 1 tsp maple syrup 

Baked chicory

preparation   

  • Preheat oven to 200 °C (top/bottom heat). 
  • Clean the chicory, wash it and halve it lengthwise. 
  • Pour HistaFood organic vegetable sauce into a casserole dish. 
  • Place the chicory in the baking dish with the cut side facing up. 
  • Peel and finely chop the garlic clove and onion. 
  • Mix together olive oil, acerola juice, maple syrup, salt, garlic and onion, and spread over the chicory. 
  • Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. 
  • Meanwhile, wash, trim and finely chop the parsley. 
  • Coarsely crumble vegan feta cheese 
  • Remove the casserole dish from the oven after 15 minutes. 
  • Distribute the parsley, macadamia nuts, and vegan feta cheese evenly in the baking dish and bake for another 10 minutes. 
  • Remove from the oven and serve
