Apple Cinnamon Buns

Juicy, cinnamony and wonderfully fragrant. These apple cinnamon buns are perfect for cozy moments. They are quick to bake, pleasantly sweet and ideal for breakfast, a snack or a little treat in between meals.

Ingredients for 4 servings

  • 1 apple
  • 300 g spelt flour
  • 150 g lactose-free natural yogurt
  • 50 g coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 packet cream of tartar baking powder
  • 1 pinch vanilla (1)
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cinnamon + 2 tbsp powdered sugar for decoration

Preparation

  • Wash the apple, core it, and cut it into small pieces.
  • Knead a dough from the spelt flour, yogurt, cream of tartar baking powder, coconut blossom sugar, vanilla, oil, egg, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Then add the apple.
  • Form approximately 4 rolls from the dough and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly and refine with cinnamon and powdered sugar.
