Heavy metals and histamine intolerance
Exposure to foreign and harmful substances can play a role in the development of histaminosis or histamine intolerance. In addition to pesticide exposure, other environmental toxins can represent a potential cause of histamine intolerance, for example in the form of:
Heavy metal exposure
In this day and age, we cannot avoid heavy metals – they are found in exhaust fumes, food, clothing, cosmetics, and other objects. In itself, a certain amount of heavy metals is not dangerous for the body, as they are sorted out and removed by our detoxification organs (liver, kidneys, bile, intestines, bladder). However, if our metabolism is overloaded – especially the liver, intestines, and kidneys – heavy metals can accumulate in the body and trigger complaints and diseases.
"Prominent" heavy metals in the Western world are:
- Lead (exhaust fumes, clothing)
- Mercury (fish, exhaust fumes)
- Cadmium (conventional grain)
- Arsenic (conventional rice)
- Nickel (jewelry, conventional oats)
- Amalgam (dental fillings)
If present in too high a concentration in the organs and blood, these can trigger symptoms in various areas and also promote or exacerbate the development of histamine intolerance.
Possible signs/symptoms that may indicate heavy metal exposure:
- impure skin
- heavy sweating
- fatigue and exhaustion
- allergic diseases
- chronic joint and muscle pain
- poorly healing wounds
- high susceptibility to infection
- high tendency toward inflammation
- strong body odor
- diarrhea
- itching
- metallic taste
- gum discoloration
- irritated and tired eyes
- dark circles and puffiness under the eyes
- increased hair loss

How can heavy metal exposure be measured?
There are two different testing options here:
-
Blood test (only heavy metals currently in the blood can be measured here)
-
Bioresonance test (heavy metal exposure in the organs can also be measured here)
Attention: The bioresonance test is not medically recognized, but it has helped us a great deal. Bioresonance is carried out via gamma waves that are introduced into the body and measure resistances there (the body feels nothing of this). This is detectable at a micro-physical level, but is not yet accepted in conventional medicine.
How can heavy metals be detoxified?
Two natural remedies are particularly suitable for detoxifying heavy metals. Both are absolutely low in histamine and even very nutritious as well as liver-supporting. We have been able to achieve great success with them and have become largely symptom-free as a result.
1. Zeolite:
Encapsulated powder brings about a significant reduction in the body's ammonium and heavy metal load, especially lead, cadmium, and mercury. This relieves the metabolism of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and blood.
2. Spirulina:
Low-histamine microalgae that has the natural property of binding heavy metals so that they can be excreted through the intestines.
- IMPORTANT: Both products should meet the highest quality standard, otherwise a reverse effect (even more burden) can occur.
- In addition, certain herbs can support your detoxification organs so that the elimination can be made even more effective and the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, and bile are strengthened – and not burdened in this process.
Would you like to integrate zeolite into your daily routine easily? Our ToxaFit contains high-quality zeolite in a practical capsule form, making it particularly easy to dose and integrate into your everyday life.
As with all our products, we attach great importance to selected ingredients and carefully tested quality here too.

Can detoxification also be done if there is only a suspicion of heavy metal exposure?
When it comes to heavy metals, prevention is better and easier than treatment/aftercare, and such detoxification with natural products is also possible preventively.
Can you detoxify gently with a histamine intolerance – and if so, how?
We hear and read again and again that those affected by histamine intolerance or mast cell activation syndrome
1) exhibit degradation and detoxification disorders
2) do not tolerate classic detox cures well at all
Melina also dealt with both cases and had severe heavy metal poisoning (lead and arsenic) and a moderate pesticide load.
A possible cause for a degradation and detoxification disorder can be an overloaded liver, because this is our largest detoxification organ. Incidentally, the second most important enzyme, "HNMT," for histamine degradation is also located there.
➡️ Classic detox and fasting cures can unfortunately often lead to complaints for us "Hittites," as they are accompanied by activation/weakening of the immune system and can promote the activation of mast cells. Can we even detoxify effectively then?
The answer is = YES!

Your low-histamine detox guide
1. Vegan diet
Avoid dairy and meat products completely, as these can burden our metabolic organs – especially our liver.
You can find vegan low-histamine recipes here.
2. Drink 300-500ml of still water morning and evening (in addition to normal requirements)
Water can not only act as a natural antihistamine, but also help flush detoxification products out of the body.
3. Take low-histamine herbs and nutrients
Bitter herbs, such as dandelion root, but also milk thistle and coriander are particularly suitable here. Among other things, they have a liver-strengthening and bile-stimulating effect and support the detoxification process through the liver, bile, and kidneys.
4. Take zeolite
Encapsulated zeolite powder brings about a significant reduction in the body's ammonium and heavy metal load, especially lead, cadmium, and mercury.
This relieves the metabolism of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and blood.
5. Reduce fats
One of the liver's tasks is fat metabolism. If you reduce fats in your diet, your liver can focus more optimally on the detoxification process.
👉🏻 Carry out these steps over a period of at least 4-6 weeks.
Would you like to integrate selected plant substances and nutrients into your daily routine easily? Our LeberFit-Set combines MetaFit and ToxaFit in a practical set for this purpose.
MetaFit contains, among other things, milk thistle, dandelion, and coriander as well as choline, which contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function. It is supplemented by ToxaFit with practical zeolite capsules – so the set combines both products in a coordinated combination.
